TexMex in Brugge: Carrello

As you already might know, Brugge is famous for its Michelin restaurants. But there are also restaurants where you can eat high quality food for a lot less. One of those little gems is Carrello, a tiny Mexican style restaurant. You will not find a lot of tourists there as it is a little bit outside of the city center.

As said, Carrello is a Mexican style restaurant so as soon as you enter you get submerged in the shiny, lively colors of the interior. You will receive a friendly welcome by one of the 2 owners of the restaurant. We can highly recommend the cocktails as an aperitive (or even during the whole meal if you dare). They are superb and one of the reasons the InBrugge Team visits Carello. As a main dish you need to order their home made fajita dishes. Fajitas are flatbread tortillas with a topping of your choice. Our favorite is the Mexicana speciale with chicken, beef and lamb in a very, very spicy sauce. If you don’t like spicy food, they have a non-spicy version also :)

It is highly recommended to make a reservation as it is almost always completely full. You can also order the dishes as take-away.
